Speculators raise net short dollar bets to $9.40 bln -CFTC, Reuters

Aug 25 (Reuters) - Speculators increased bearish net-short bets against the dollar to $9.40 billion in the latest week of trading, data from the Commodity Futures Trading Association calculated by Reuters showed on Friday.

Last week the value of net-short positioning fell to $8.84 billion, marking the first reduction in net short dollar bets in seven weeks. In the latest week, which closed Aug. 22, speculators renewed their positioning for continued weakness in the dollar. (Reporting by Dion Rabouin; Editing by James Dalgleish)
