China sets the yuan mid-point at 11-month high

SHANGHAI (Reuters) - China's central bank on Tuesday set the yuan's midpoint CNY=PBOC at 6.6597 per dollar, the strongest level since Sept. 22, 2016, as the Chinese currency continues to be supported by a weak dollar.

Tuesday’s official guidance was 112 pips or 0.17 percent firmer than the previous fix at 6.6709 per dollar.
