Eni CEO sees talks soon on South Stream, Elephant field

MOSCOW, April 7 (Reuters) - Italy and Russia will discuss the South Stream gas pipeline project in the next few weeks at a bilateral summit, Eni (ENI.MI) Chief Executive Paolo Scaroni said on Tuesday.

Speaking to reporters in Moscow, Scaroni also said a deal will be agreed with Russia’s gas giant Gazprom (GAZP.MM) to give it a stake in Eni’s Libyan Elephant field at the next Italian-Russian bilateral meeting.

The next bilateral meeting between the Italian and Russian prime ministers will be in a few weeks, Scaroni said.
