Commonwealth Games: Australia women break world record in 4x100m freestyle relay

GOLD COAST, Australia, (Reuters) - Australia’s women’s 4x100m freestyle relay team broke their own world record when they clinched the gold medal at the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games on Thursday.

The Australian quartet clocked three minutes, 30.05 seconds to beat their previous record of 3:30.65 from the Rio Olympics to win gold ahead of Canada and England.
