Ghana central bank appoints administrator for Unibank

ACCRA, March 20 (Reuters) - Ghana’s central bank has appointed accounting firm KPMG as the administrator for Unibank in order to save the local bank from imminent collapse, Governor Ernest Addison said on Tuesday.

The takeover will prevent potential losses to depositors and other creditors and ensure the bank does not create further risks to the wider financial system, Addison told reporters.
