Glenmark Pharma gets US nod for skin ointment

MUMBAI, July 31 (Reuters) - Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Ltd’s (GLEN.BO) generics unit on Friday said it secured the U.S. Food and Drug Administration approval for alclometasone dipropionate ointment and will start selling the drug immediately in the U.S.

The skin ointment is the generic version of GlaxoSmithKline’s (GSK.L) Aclovate ointment, the company said in a statement. (Reporting by Bharghavi Nagaraju; Editing by Harish Nambiar)
