U.S. SEC employee in DC shows coronavirus symptoms

March 9 (Reuters) - The U.S. securities regulator said late on Monday a staff member at its headquarters in Washington, DC showed symptoms associated with the coronavirus, a spokesperson said.

The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) was informed that the employee was treated for respiratory symptoms on Monday and was referred for testing.

“Amongst other precautions, the SEC is encouraging headquarters employees to telework until further guidance,” the spokesperson said.
