LONDON, Oct 2 (Reuters) - People must follow coronavirus rules to save lives and protect vulnerable people, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s spokesman said when asked about a Scottish lawmaker who has admitted to breaking the restrictions.
“We’ve been clear of the need for people to follow the rules. This is all about saving lives and protecting vulnerable people which is why we’ve been clear that if you have symptoms you need to isolate,” the spokesman told reporters.
Asked about calls for the lawmaker to resign, he said it was “a matter for her and her party”.
