Hyundai Motor's China JV starts making payments to suppliers

SEOUL, Sept 15 (Reuters) - Hyundai Motor on Friday said its Chinese joint venture with BAIC Motor had started making payments to suppliers.

The South Korean automaker last week managed to restart a Chinese car plant, which had been suspended as delayed payments prompted one firm to stop supplying parts.

“We plan to complete payments as soon as possible,” the company said in a statement. (Reporting by Hyunjoo Jin)
