Totti is too predictable, says Roma coach Ranieri

ROME (Reuters) - AS Roma striker Francesco Totti needs to alter his playing style because he is too predictable, coach Claudio Ranieri said on Saturday.

“Totti has to change his way of playing a bit. Even the stones (on the ground without brains) know he comes to meet the ball,” Ranieri told a news conference ahead of Sunday’s home game with Fiorentina.

“He has got to be intelligent and make different movements.”

Ranieri, who has won one match and lost one since taking over at the Stadio Olimpico, said he was not trying to anger the club captain and still respected the Italy World Cup winner as a great player.
