India govt had no outstanding loans from RBI in Aug 30 week

BENGALURU, Sept 6 (Reuters) - The Indian government had no outstanding loans with the central bank under ways and means advances in the week ended Aug. 30, according to the Reserve Bank of India’s (RBI) weekly statistical supplement released on Friday.

The central government had 450.10 billion rupees ($6.28 billion) outstanding loans in the week earlier.

State governments had loans worth 6.06 billion rupees from the RBI in the week ended Aug. 30, compared with 3.03 billion rupees in the previous week, the release showed. ($1 = 71.6790 Indian rupees) (Reporting by Derek Francis in Bengaluru)
