India's January industrial output rises 2%

NEW DELHI (Reuters) - India’s industrial output rose 2% in January from a year earlier, government data showed on Thursday.

Analysts polled by Reuters had forecast a rise of 0.7%.

Cumulative growth in April-January over the corresponding period of the previous year was 0.5%, the data showed.
