NEW DELHI (Reuters) - India’s infrastructure output contracted 23.4% in May from a year earlier, data released on Tuesday showed, dragged down by more than two months of coronavirus lockdown.

Infrastructure output, which comprises eight sectors including coal, crude oil and electricity and accounts for nearly 40% of the country’s industrial output, contracted 30% in April and May - the first two months of the fiscal year - from a year earlier, the data showed.
