LNG tankers build up around Indian ports after force majeure -shipping sources

SINGAPORE, March 27 (Reuters) - Several fully-laden liquefied natural gas (LNG) tankers are building up around ports in India after importers there declared force majeure earlier this week, according to shipping sources.

Five LNG tankers have been flagged as floating storage off the western India coast, said Rebecca Chia, an analyst at data intelligence firm Kpler.

“There is a build up (of LNG tankers) off India at the moment,” a shipbroker said.
