NEW DELHI, Oct 22 (Reuters) - India imported about 3.82 million barrels per day (bpd) of oil in September, down nearly 18.7% from the previous month, according to data from shipping and industry sources. Saudi Arabia replaced Iraq as the top oil supplier to India in September after a gap of more than a year, the data showed. On a monthly basis, supplies from Saudi Arabia and Iraq declined in September, the data showed. The two OPEC members accounted for about 43% of India' overall imports compared with nearly half in August. The Middle East share of India's total oil imports declined to 58% in September from 64% in August, while the share of African grades rose to 21% from 16%. South American grades were about 11% of India's overall purchases, the ame as in August, the data showed The following table shows India's imports by country. The imports include condensate.
