Britain's Intu says no decision on new CEO yet, search is on

April 1 (Reuters) - British shopping centre owner Intu Properties said on Monday it was still looking for a replacement for Chief Executive Officer David Fischel and that no decision had been made.

The Sunday Times reported that Tony Buffin, who stepped down from Travis Perkins’ board last week, is understood to be the preferred candidate to succeed Fischel.

Fischel announced his intention to step down in July last year after a 3.4 billion-pound ($4.49 billion) takeover of the British shopping centre operator by bigger rival Hammerson fell through. ($1 = 0.7577 pounds) (Reporting by Samantha Machado in Bengaluru Editing by Saumyadeb Chakrabarty)
