Rocket warning siren in southern Israel was false alarm: Israeli military

JERUSALEM/GAZA (Reuters) - A rocket siren that sounded in southern Israel near the Gaza border on Tuesday was a false alarm, the Israeli military said.

It went went off on the day Palestinians mark the “Nakba”, or “Catastrophe” of their dispossession when Israel was founded 70 years ago, and the day after Israeli forces killed 60 Palestinians during protests at the border.
