Atlantia to hold extraordinary board meeting on Tuesday - sources

MILAN, Sept 16 (Reuters) - Italian infrastructure group Atlantia will hold an extraordinary board meeting on Tuesday, sources close to the matter said, after top investor Edizione said it was dismayed by arrests at the group’s units.

Italy’s tax police said on Friday they had found evidence that safety reports for some viaducts operated by Atlantia’s motorway unit had been falsified or information omitted, with the aim of misleading transport ministry inspectors.

Shares in Atlantia, in which the Benetton family owns a 30.25% stake through its holding company Edizione, fell 7.8% by 1447 GMT.
