Japan's consumer confidence ticks up in October - govt

TOKYO, Oct 29 (Reuters) - Japan’s consumer confidence improved slightly in October, a Cabinet Office survey showed on Thursday, although the sentiment index remained relatively low due to ongoing worries over the coronavirus pandemic.

The survey’s sentiment index for general households, which includes views on incomes and jobs, rose to 33.6 in October from 32.7 in September. (Reporting by Yoshifumi Takemoto, writing by Kaori Kaneko Editing by Chang-Ran Kim)
