TOKYO, Dec 28 (Reuters) - Japan’s industrial output fell 1.1 percent in November, swinging from the prior month’s increase, government data showed on Friday, in a sign of fragility in factory activity.
The result compared with the median forecast for a 1.9 percent decline in a Reuters poll of economists, and followed a 2.9 percent increase in October.
Manufacturers surveyed by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) expect output to rise 2.2 percent in December and decline 0.8 percent in January.
