TOKYO, Sept 30 (Reuters) - Japanese retail sales dropped 1.9% in August from a year earlier, down for a sixth straight month as consumer sentiment remained fragile due to the impact of the coronavirus pandemic.
The data, released by the government on Wednesday, compared with a median market forecast for a 3.5% decrease.
