Kazakh banks enter state asset protection scheme - regulator

ALMATY, Feb 28 (Reuters) - Several Kazakh banks are increasing their capital and entering an asset protection scheme with the state following an asset quality review, the Kazakh financial regulator said on Friday.

One lender, Nurbank, has joined a few other lenders in receiving financial assistance from the central bank, it said, adding that the banking sector showed no capital deficit following the review.
