WARSAW, March 23 (Reuters) - UPC Polska, the Polish subsidiary of U.S. TV and broadband company Liberty Global , has scrapped a $876 million preliminary deal to take over Polish peer Multimedia Polska, Multimedia said in a statement on Friday.
“(...) due to the lack of possibility to make final trade and business arrangements, the parties have unanimously decided to terminate the (takeover) agreement,” Multimedia Polska said.
The preliminary takeover deal was first announced in October 2016. UPC Polska was to acquire Multimedia’s cable television business for 3 billion zlotys ($876 million).
