CANADA STOCKS-TSX ends higher on energy, bank gains

TORONTO, Feb 5 (Reuters) - Canada’s benchmark stock index ended higher on Thursday, helped by gains in banking stocks and as a rebound in the price of crude gave strength to some oil and gas shares.

The Toronto Stock Exchange’s S&P/TSX composite index unofficially ended up 129.27 points, or 0.86 percent, at 15,124.92. (Reporting by Alastair Sharp, editing by G Crosse)
