China shares start week on bright note on recovery hopes

HONG KONG, Dec 10 (Reuters) - China shares rose more than 1 percent in healthy volumes on Monday as retail investors returned to the market encouraged by signs of a slow but steady economic revival.

The CSI300 of top Shanghai and Shenzhen listings rose 1.1 percent to 2,271.05. The Shanghai Composite closed up 1.1 percent at 2083.77.
