Sept 5 (Reuters) - Michael Leiter, a former director of the U.S. National Counterterrorism Center (NCTC) is joining Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP, the law firm said on Tuesday.
Leiter will join its national security practice as a partner in Washington. He will focus on cross-border deals and specialize in the defense, intelligence and technology sectors.
Leiter was a director of the NCTC under Presidents George W. Bush and Barack Obama. He was most recently president of Leidos defense group, which works with the U.S. Defense Department. Skadden’s head of national security practice, Ivan Schlager, said Leiter’s “unique knowledge of the interplay between business imperatives and national security” will benefit clients.
