MSCI says to consult on increasing Chinese share weight in its indexes

SHANGHAI, Sept 26 (Reuters) - Global index provider MSCI launched a consultation on a further weight increase of China A-shares in the MSCI Indexes.

MSCI proposed to increase the inclusion factor of MSCI China A Large Cap securities from 5 percent to 20 percent, and will also consider adding Chinese mid-cap and ChiNext shares, according to a statement on MSCI’s website.
