MOVES-Woolley goes to pastures new

LONDON, Sept 5 (IFR) - Natixis has hired Mark Woolley as a senior coverage banker for insurance in the UK and Switzerland, according to a bank spokesperson.

Woolley was previously co-head of Europe Middle East and Africa (EMEA) insurance, corporate finance at Deutsche Bank.

He will report locally to Serge Ekue, UK senior country manager and head of global markets for EMEA. He reports globally to Thierry Berthold and Daniel Yap, global co-heads of insurance coverage.

Woolley started his career in debt capital markets at Goldman Sachs, covering European banks and insurers. He then joined Deutsche Bank from Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein as European head of insurance DCM.

In his most recent role at Deutsche Bank, he was co-head of EMEA insurance across M&A, DCM, ECM and corporate banking.

Deutsche Bank’s insurance business has gone through changes in recent months. The bank hired Daniel Miller from Nomura as a director in insurance solutions earlier in the summer, just weeks after it snapped up Chris Harding from HSBC.
