New York Times' profit jumps 66 percent

May 3 (Reuters) - The New York Times Co’s quarterly profit rose about 66 percent as the newspaper publisher signed up more digital subscribers.

Net income rose to $21.9 million or 13 cents per share in the first quarter of 2018, from $13.2 million or 8 cents per share a year earlier.
