Oscar organizers set 2013 awards for February 24

REUTERS - Oscar organizers on Wednesday set the date of next year’s Academy Awards for February 24, continuing the practice in recent years of choosing the final Sunday in that month for the world’s top film awards.

Nominees for the Oscars will be named on January 15, 2013 the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences said in a statement.
