Polish bank PKO Q3 profit up 17 pct, slightly above forecast

WARSAW, Nov 13 (Reuters) - Poland’s largest lender, PKO BP , reported on Monday a 17-percent rise in its third-quarter net profit, as accelerating economy boosted demand for banking services and products.

The state-run bank reported a net profit of 902 million zlotys ($248.61 million), above analysts’ expectations of 870 million zlotys. ($1 = 3.6282 zlotys) (Reporting by Marcin Goclowski; Editing by Agnieszka Barteczko)
