WARSAW, Aug 28 (Reuters) - Poland’s general government deficit be around 2.5 percent of gross domestic product this year, Deputy Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said on Monday.
“This budget for sure will be a very safe one. I think that the general government deficit will oscillate at around 2.5 percent, maybe a little bit more,” Morawiecki told a news conference.
Last week Prime Minister Beata Szydlo said in 2018 the general government deficit would amount to 2.7 percent of GDP, well below the European Union ceiling of 3 percent. (Reporting by Agnieszka Barteczko; Writing by Marcin Goclowski; Editing by Robin Pomeroy)
