Polish c.bank: We still need to support economy -newspaper

WARSAW, Sept 18 (Reuters) - The worst of the economic crisis is already behind Poland, but the central bank still needs to support the economy in the coming quarters, central bank governor Adam Glapinski said in an article published on Friday by Dziennik Gazeta Prawna daily.

Glapinski also said that low interest rates - presently at 0.1% - harm banks’ results in a short term, but they do not lead to limiting supply of the credit and do not threaten the stability of the banking system.
