Nov 4 (Reuters) - Portugal’s unemployment rate rose to 7.8% in the third quarter from 5.6% in the preceding three-month period and from 6.1% rate in the third quarter of 2019, official data showed on Wednesday.
The National Statistics Institute (INE) said that the unemployed population increased 45.1%, or by 125.700 people, from the previous quarter, which corresponds to the highest quarterly rate of change of the data series started in 2011.
