Power Trading Corp to buy 800MW from AES India unit

NEW DELHI, July 9 (Reuters) - The Indian arm of the U.S.-based AES Corp. (AES.N) will sell up to 800 mega watts of power from its coal fired project to state-run Power Trading Corp. (PTCI.BO), it said on Monday.

AES Chhattisgarh Energy Pvt. Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of AES Corp., is setting up a 1,200 MW project in Chhattisgarh. The plant is expected to be commissioned by 2011-12.
