Pret A Manger to not make June quarter rent in full as virus crisis drags on

June 25 (Reuters) - Sandwich and coffee shop chain Pret A Manger said on Thursday it would not make its June quarter rent in full as it continued to lose tens of millions of pounds each month because of the coronavirus crisis, confirming a report by the Financial Times.

“Although we are working hard to adapt Pret to the new retail environment, the coronavirus pandemic has massively affected our industry,” a company spokesperson said.
