Russian c.bank to consider 100-bps rate cut in June -governor

MOSCOW, June 5 (Reuters) - Russia’s central bank will consider a 100-basis-point cut to its benchmark interest rate at its board meeting on June 19, Governor Elvira Nabiullina said on Friday.

Easing inflationary pressure in May and recent economic data have confirmed the bank’s view that there is considerable room for a rate cut, Nabiullina said. (Reporting by Andrey Ostroukh, Elena Fabrichnaya and Gabrielle Tétrault-Farber; Writing by Alexander Marrow; editing by John Stonestreet)
