MOSCOW, Dec 18 (Reuters) - Russia will load 900,000 tonnes of ESPO crude oil blend in January from its new Pacific terminal of Kozmino, a loading schedule showed on Friday.
This will make Kozmino Russia’s No.3 seaborne oil outlet after Primorsk on the Baltic Sea and Novorossiisk on the Black Sea, outpacing the Ukrainian port of Yuzhny and easing dependence on transit states.
Russia will reduce oil exports via the Black Sea’s Yuzhny by 50 percent and suspend crude transit via Poland’s Gdansk in the first quarter on the back of its Asian oil expansion, a quarterly schedule showed Wednesday [ID:nLDE5BF26Z].
The Russian state pipeline monopoly Transneft (TRNF_p.MM) oil exports and transit in the first quarter will tick up versus January-March 2009 year-on-year despite termination of oil transit via Odessa and lower shipments ex-Yuzhny and Primorsk.
Russia has not been exporting its benchmark Urals URL-E blend via the Ukrainian port of Odessa since October as Ukraine switched the Kremenchug-Odessa trunk pipeline to reverse mode to import Azeri Light AZR-E [ID:nLT003556].
State oil firm Rosneft (ROSN.MM) will load five 100,000-tonne cargoes, Surgutneftegaz (SNGS.MM) will ship two tankers, while TNK-BP TNBPI.RTS and Gazprom Neft (SIBN.MM) will supply one each from Kozmino.
On Friday, Surgut announced a tender to lift a 100,000-tonne cargo from Kozmino on January 10-11, traders said. The tender closes on December 29.
Russia plans to export 3.1 million tonnes of crude from the outlet, the eastern terminus of the East Siberian-Pacific Ocean (ESPO) pipeline, in January-March.

Transneft has revised its practice of announcing loading dates in the second half of the month preceding delivery and approved the first loading dates of February for Kozmino 45 days ahead of loadings, the plan showed.
It is more common for the Asian market to call tenders two months prior to delivery. Extended planning horizons will provide market players a better trading environment, industry sources said [ID:nGEE5AQ1BA].
