(Updates with Gazprom’s statement)
MOSCOW, Feb 28 (Reuters) - Russian gas giant Gazprom said on Thursday gas exports had not been affected by a fire that broke out at a trunk gas pipeline in the Ryazan region, south east of Moscow.
The fire has now been put out, the emergencies ministry said, adding no one was hurt.
Gazprom said the fire broke out at a parallel portion of the Petrovsk - Yelets pipeline. Gas is supplied to the customers via the main part of the pipeline. (Reporting by Vladimir Soldatkin; Editing by Mark Potter and Alexandra Hudson)
