Russia's Vankor to ship 13 mln t crude in 2011

PURPE, Russia, May 18 (Reuter) - Rosneft’s (ROSN.MM) Vankor oil field, a key source of new output for Russia as it struggles to sustain production, will deliver 13 million tonnes into the pipeline system, pipeline operator Transneft said on Wednesday.

Next year it will pump 18 million tonnes, said Transneft executive Mikhail Sayapin, speaking at a ceremony marking the welding of the final seam of a new pipeline connecting Russia’s Western pipeline infrastructure with its new Eastern route.

In December, Rosneft cut its output forecast for Vankor to 15 million tonnes this year from 17 million tonnes. (Reporting by Vladimir Soldatkin; writing by Melissa Akin; editing by Douglas Busvine)
