MOSCOW, Aug 29 (Reuters) - Russian consumer lender TCS Group made 4.2 billion roubles in net profit in the second quarter, up 67 percent year on year, it said on Tuesday.
That beat expectations. Analysts had expected TCS to post lower net profit of 3.6 billion roubles.
A year ago London-listed TCS made 2.5 billion roubles of net profit in the second quarter.
TCS said on Tuesday its Board of Directors had approved 2017 dividends at $0.20 per share or per GDR, taking the total dividend payment to $36.5 million. (Reporting by Andrey Ostroukh and Oksana Kobzeva; Editing by Andrew Osborn)
