South Africa's cabinet to make final decision on SAA by end Sept - finance minister

PRETORIA, Aug 25 (Reuters) - South Africa’s cabinet will make a final decision on how to recapatilise state airline South African Airways (SAA) by end September and is considering different proposals for now, Finance Minister Malusi Gigaba said on Friday.

As one of the options, South Africa is considering selling its stake in landline provider Telkom to fund a 10 billion rand ($759.68 million) bailout of SAA. ($1 = 13.1635 rand) (Reporting by Olivia Kumwenda-Mtambo; Writing by Nqobile Dludla; Editing by James Macharia)
