Oslo, Sept 6 (Reuters) - Only two pilots at Scandinavian airline SAS will go out on strike on Sept. 11 if wage talks due to take place this weekend in Norway break down, a state-appointed mediator said on Wednesday.
However, almost 600 pilots in Norway are affected by the wage negotiations, and under Norwegian law unions can escalate strike action at a few days’ notice.
The unions of pilots at SAS’s Norway operations have threatened to organise a strike on Sept. 11 if their wage demands are not met.
Danish SAS pilots have also threatened to go on strike, trade publication Check-in.dk reported on Aug. 28.
