Nordic Semiconductor CEO signals strong Q3

OSLO, Aug 22 (Reuters) - Norwegian tech firm Nordic Semiconductor sees continued growth in the third quarter as its order backlog keeps expanding from the record second-quarter levels, Chief Executive Svenn-Tore Larsen said.

In July the Oslo-listed company reported record second-quarter revenues of $58.7 million and said this marked “the start of what will be a solid year for Nordic”.

“We see no reason to moderate those comments,” Larsen told a conference on Tuesday.

“What predicts our outcome in the following quarter is our backlog going into that quarter. I can say that our backlog was very strong entering Q3 this year and that we are actually still receiving orders,” he added. (Reporting by Joachim Dagenborg, editing by Terje Solsvik)
