(Reuters) - Brighton and Hove Albion midfielder Pascal Gross will miss Saturday’s Premier League match against Huddersfield Town due to a hamstring problem, manager Chris Hughton said on Thursday.
German Gross sustained the injury during Tuesday’s 2-1 defeat by Leicester City.
“Pascal will miss the game against Huddersfield. He felt his hamstring but the good news is it is not too bad,” Hughton told a news conference.
“This game has come around too early though. Otherwise, everyone is fit and available.”
Brighton have 27 points from 27 games to sit 16th in the table and are the only top-flight team without a league victory this year.
“I have to be concerned because the league table speaks for itself and the form speaks for itself,” Hughton added.
“A lot of the games have been close games, even at Leicester I thought the performance was good. On another occasion I think we would have got something from the game. With all of them factors, it makes us optimistic.
“We’re very conscious that at our level, as a club we are always going to go through some difficulties in a season. It’s a difficult period for us but it is a time where you need to hold your nerve.”
