Soccer-Bullet point previews of Premier League matches

Oct 17 (Reuters) - Match-by-match facts and statistics ahead of round nine of the Premier League on Oct. 19-21 (games at 1400 GMT unless stated):

Saturday, Oct. 19

Everton v West Ham United (1130)

*Everton have lost their last four league matches, conceding nine goals.

*West Ham are unbeaten in their last six away league matches (W3 D3).

*Everton have beaten West Ham 25 times in the Premier League, more than they have any other team.

*West Ham have beaten Everton twice in their last three meetings.

*Everton’s Gylfi Sigurdsson has been involved in at least one goal in three appearances against West Ham (one goal and two assists).

Aston Villa v Brighton & Hove Albion

*Villa and Brighton are playing each other in the Premier League for the first time and it is their first top flight meeting since 1983.

*Villa have never lost at home to Brighton in all competitions (W8 D3).

*Brighton have not scored in six of their last eight away league games.

*Villa striker Wesley has four goals and an assist in his last six league appearances.

*Brighton have won only twice this season but both results were 3-0 wins (against Watford and Tottenham Hotspur).

Bournemouth v Norwich City

*Norwich have lost all four away matches in the league this season, scoring only one goal.

*Bournemouth striker Callum Wilson has scored five times in six home games against promoted sides.

*Since grabbing a goal and an assist against Manchester City last month, Norwich striker Teemu Pukki has played three games without a goal contribution.

*Norwich have conceded at least two goals in seven of their eight league matches this season.

*Bournemouth and Norwich are the only two sides yet to keep a clean sheet in the league this season.

Chelsea v Newcastle United

*Chelsea are unbeaten in 24 of their last 26 home matches in the Premier League.

*Newcastle have won away at Chelsea only once on their last 25 league trips to Stamford Bridge (D7 L17).

*Chelsea’s English players have scored 13 league goals this season - more than any other team.

*Newcastle manager Steve Bruce has won once at Stamford Bridge when his Sunderland side beat Chelsea 3-0 in 2010.

*Chelsea have beaten Newcastle at home in their last seven meetings in all competitions.

Leicester City v Burnley

*Leicester are unbeaten in their last six home games (W4 D2), winning the last three.

*Burnley have never won at Leicester in the Premier League (D2 L2) and have beaten them only twice in the last 15 games in the top flight and the Championship.

*Since Brendan Rodgers’ first game in charge of Leicester in March, only Liverpool, Manchester City and Chelsea have picked up more points.

*Burnley have kept only one clean sheet in their last 16 away matches in the league.

*Leicester striker Jamie Vardy has scored 10 times in his last 10 league games at the King Power Stadium.

Tottenham Hotspur v Watford

*Watford have never won away at Spurs in the Premier League in six attempts.

*Spurs have lost 17 games in all competitions in 2019 - more than any other Premier League side.

*Watford are bottom of the league and are the only side yet to win a Premier League match this season.

*Spurs have won six times in nine Premier League games at their new stadium (D1 L2)

*Watford have not scored in their last three league matches, conceding 10 goals.

Wolverhampton Wanderers v Southampton

*Southampton lost their last three league matches to drop to 17th in the standings.

*Wolves have won their last two league games after a winless run of six (D4 L2), keeping a clean sheet in both wins.

*Southampton have kept four clean sheets in six away games in all competitions this season — more than any other Premier League side.

*Wolves are playing their 100th Premier League game at home (W34 D24 L41).

*Southampton have beaten Wolves three times in the Premier League in four matches.

Crystal Palace v Manchester City (1630)

*Palace boss Roy Hodgson is the only English manager to beat Pep Guardiola (3-2 in December 2018).

*City striker Sergio Aguero has never scored at Selhurst Park in six games.

*Palace forward Jordan Ayew has scored three goals this season with two of them being winners.

*City have won 10 of their last 11 away league games, losing only at Norwich City last month.

*City have scored in 15 of their last 16 league matches against Palace, with a 0-0 draw in 2017 ending the champions’ run of 18 consecutive wins.

Sunday, Oct. 20

Manchester United v Liverpool (1530)

*Liverpool have not won at Old Trafford in all competitions on their last six visits (D3 L3).

*A win for Liverpool would equal Man City’s record run of 18 consecutive league wins set in 2017-18 and Chelsea’s best start to a Premier League season (nine wins) in 2005-06.

*United forward Marcus Rashford has not scored from open play since their 4-0 win over Chelsea on the opening weekend.

*Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah has never scored or provided an assist in four appearances against United.

*Liverpool boss Juergen Klopp has never won away at Old Trafford.

Monday, Oct. 21

Sheffield United v Arsenal (1900)

*The Blades have beaten Arsenal only three times in their last 20 meetings in all competitions, stretching back to 1981.

*Arsenal have not won away in the league since beating Newcastle United on the opening weekend (D2 L1).

*The Blades have lost their last three home games.

*Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is one goal shy of his 50th goal for Arsenal in all competitions (49 in 75 games).
