(Reuters) - Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Harry Winks has signed a new five-year contract, the Premier League club said on Thursday.
The 22-year-old academy graduate has committed his future to the north London club with an improved deal to 2023, including a one-year extension on the previous contract he signed in February last year.
Winks made 16 Premier League appearances this season but missed the latter stages because of an ankle injury and is scheduled for surgery.
The club said that Winks is likely to return to full fitness before the start of next season.
