Lanzini missed the first six games of the season with a knee injury but has since netted eight goals in 38 appearances, including the winning strike in a 1-0 triumph over Tottenham Hotspur that secured top-flight safety for West Ham on May 5.

The 24-year-old is contracted to the 12th-placed club until 2020 but media reports have linked him with a possible move to either Everton or Liverpool.

“We did not have a good start of the season, but now we need to think in the next game and the next season,” Lanzini told the club’s website. (

”For now, I am thinking of the next game then thinking of having good holidays with the family. I am very happy here.

“Next year, if we work hard, we will get a better result.”

West Ham travel to 15th-placed Burnley in their final game of the season on Sunday.
