BERLIN (Reuters) - FIFA said on Wednesday it had received nine registrations from associations in Asia, South America, Australasia and Africa intending to bid to host the 2023 Women’s World cup.

It said the registrations came from football associations in Argentina, Australia, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Japan, New Zealand, South Africa and South Korea’s football association, which is interested in a joint bid with its North Korean counterpart.

“FIFA will now dispatch the various bidding and hosting documents, and the member associations will have until 4 October 2019 to submit their respective bids to FIFA,” FIFA said in a statement.
