The 51-year-old combines the job of being Madagascar boss with running the French fourth-tier club Fleury 91 and has taken the Malagasy to their first Cup of Nations finals, having started in the job just over two years ago.
Dupuis was a player in the amateur ranks in France and began his coaching career as player-coach at AS Yzeure.
Key player: Jeremy Morel. Age: 35. Defender.
In the twilight of a career that has seen him play more than 100 games for both Olympique Marseille and Olympique Lyonnais, Morel has embarked on an international opportunity with Madagascar.
It was only last year, with Madagascar’s qualification looking certain, that Morel announced his availability. His father was born on the island.
He is the only high-profile player in the squad which is sprinkled with players who, like Morel, were born in France with some Malagasy heritage.
